E-mail marketing is an essential part of many businesses – especially, online. Thus, properly writing your e-mail swipes (e-mail messages) that you send to your audience, potential customers and customers is very important.
Of course, we cannot please all types of people, some writing styles may work from one person but it might not work with another.
But at least, here are some tips that I want to share with you on how to write e-mail swipes.
✍️ Your e-mail subject line is VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT – Yes, these are the first phrases that your audience will see, if it’s catchy, they will open and read your e-mails, and if not, they will just ignore it – which means, missed opportunity. Say make sure that your subject line is interesting and put some suspense on it so that your audience will be craving to read your e-mail.
✍️ Use emoji to your subject line – In line with the first tip, you must use emoji to your subject line because it catches your reader’s eyes and gives some impression to the reader that the content ahead is not too serious or boring.
✍️ Do not write very long e-mails – People today don’t want to read or at least prefers to read less. Make your e-mail body very concise and direct to the point.
✍️ Be funny – Being funny and informative at the same time is one of the best strategies in e-mail marketing. People remove their guards off when they feel that you are light and warm by avoiding being too serious but not compromising the image that you want to share legitimate information to them.
✍️ Spread your links to different parts of your e-mail body. Don’t just put the link to your website on just one part of your e-mail body. Spread them across the entire content so that the readers will have different opportunities to be attracted to click your links.
